Jack Johnston, born Jan. 28, 1933, and died July 5, 2016. Jack was a graduate of Van Buren High School and the University of Arkansas. He served two years in Korea before becoming a coach and teacher and later, he retired from Rheem. He loved his job, gardening and fishing. Don Byrum of Benton lost his battle with mylofibrosis on July 1, 2016, at Baptist Health in Little Rock. He was born to the Rev. and Mrs. Wright Taylor Byrum Jr. in Fort Smith. He was a pharmacist who formerly owned Town & Country Pharmacy (Byrum's Pharmacy) in Benton.
