Dora Mae Johnson, 83, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, in a local hospital. She was a retired owner/operator of Johnson Sewing Center and a former district manager of World Book Encyclopedia in Russellville. She was preceded in death by Don Huffstetler, father of her children; and her second husband, Raymond Johnson; one sister, Helen Lopez; and one brother, Carl Jones; she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Etta Lee Jones. She was a 1950 graduate of Van Buren High School.

Bettye Ruth Aydelott, 82, of Sallisaw passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, in Sallisaw. She was born in Bokoshe to William Harvey Masterson and Mattie Edwards Masterson on Sept. 29, 1933. She graduated from Lamar High School in Lamar in 1951. She received her bachelor's of music education in 1955 from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, where she graduated summa cum laude. Roderick David Partlow, 73, of Mulberry passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, in a local hospital. He was owner/operator of Alma Farm Supply, a member of First Baptist Church in Mulberry and a member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in Vietnam, a U.S. Navy Reserve member and a former member of the Air National Guard. Katherine May Croom, age 101, passed away June 20, 2016, in her home in Fort Smith, after a yearlong convalescence. Prior to that time, she lived a very full and independent life, handling her own affairs. Those who knew Katherine have described her as a classy lady, an elegant little butterfly, always positive, polite and nice.
