Junior Lee Lewis, 71, of Waveland, Ark., passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. He was born Dec. 31, 1944, in Ola, Ark., to the late Arthur Lee and Reba Myrle (Blaylock) Lewis. He loved working with his cattle and helping his son Mike in the hay fields in the summer. He was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center, where he was director of food service, housekeeping and laundry at Sparks Manor. O.D Frederick Jr., 91, of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016, in a local nursing home. He was born March 1, 1925, in Southard, Okla., to Oliver D. and Maggie (Wilder) Frederick. He was one of seven children and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He began his career as a disc jockey in Mena. James Dibrell Sparks Jr., 87, of Fort Smith died June 2, 2016, in Fort Smith. He was born July 13, 1928, in Fort Smith to James D. and Mabel Sparks. Jim graduated from Joplin High School in 1946 and began his service in the U.S. Navy as a World War II veteran at the age of 17.
