Saturnino "Al" Alcayde Jr., 84, of Fort Smith passed peacefully to be with his lord on the early morning of May 7, 2016. Born in the town of Laredo, Texas, on Dec. 13, 1931, he was the oldest of five children of Saturnino Sr. and Delfina Alcayde. Early in life, he grew up on Army bases where his father was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, and Fort Belvoir, Va. He moved back to Laredo and graduated from Martin High School. After a protracted battle with cancer, Joe Ben Marley II died May 13, 2016, in Alma, at the age of 64. He leaves behind his wife, Joyce Marley; his daughters, Amy McPartland and Kaitlyn Speck; and his son, Ben Marley. Joe was born Sept. 19, 1951, in Fort Smith to father H. Tanner Smith, 33, of Fort Smith died May 12, 2016, at CHI, St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born May 4, 1983, in Fort Smith to Robert Craig Smith and Elizabeth Mann Kennedy.
