Danny Ray Moreau, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 with his family beside him. Danny was born May 20, 1952 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Kenneth and Billie Sue Green Moreau whom survive. He is also survived by one sister, Ronda Nichols and her husband Dwayne.

Maxine Maness, 81, of Lavaca passed from this life Monday, April 18, 2016, in Fort Smith. She was born April 6, 1935, in Lavaca to William Isaac Williams and Annie Keith Williams. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands Richard Ladd and Greenville Maness; sisters Laurene Tinney, Edna Awalt, Dorothy Decker and Louise Hayes; and brothers Clyde, Keith and Calvin Williams.

Joyce Lueann McCormick, 55, of Cedarville passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, in her home. She was a cashier for E-Z Mart in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis McCormick; one daughter, Lueanna Fatherree; one son, Jeffery Fatherree; one sister, Barbie Hyatt; and two brothers, Leroy and Leon Hyatt.

Elsie Mae Cone was born May 4, 1926 in to Jessie and Susan Bessie Johnson in Crawford County and passed away April 14, 2016, in Merced, Calif., at the age of 89. She moved to Merced in 1943, where she was a homemaker. She attended Merced Church of the Nazarene.

Deborah Lynn Oliver, 66, of Mulberry passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, in her home. She was born Jan. 11, 1950, in Alma to the late Alma and Sarah Schneider. She was the owner/operator of Green Acres Garden Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca McCollum.

Phillip Washington Cox, 87, of the Cox Valley community near Paris died Sunday, April 17, 2016, in Booneville. He was born Dec. 12, 1928, in the Chismville community in Logan County. He retired from Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. in California, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith and the widower of Roberta Cox.

Patsy Lou Gossage, 83, of Paris died Monday, April 18, 2016, in Fort Smith. She was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Paris. She retired from Woolworth’s in Memphis, was a graduate of Paris High School, a Baptist and the widow of Leon Robert Gossage.

Iva Lorraine Cagle, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born March 17, 1938, in Caraway.

Edward “Eddie” Symonds, 71, of Rudy passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, in his home. He was a sales associate for Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Van Buren and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 8845. He was preceded in death by his parents Van and Inez (Stallings) Symonds.

CHARLESTON — Bill R. Richmond, 84, of Charleston died Saturday, April 16, 2016, in his home. He was born May 5, 1931, in Van Buren. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, an Army veteran of the Korean War, retired from Rheem Manufacturing Co. and was a cattleman.

ALMA — Ronald Allen Stice, 68, of Alma died Sunday, April 17, 2016, in his home. He was born March 18, 1948, in Denver. He was a certified gemologist and an Army veteran.

Charles Lane Payton, 85, of Ozark died Friday, April 15, 2016, in Ozark. He was an electrician and retired from Cass Job Corps. He was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Newport.

Betty Louise Khoury, 77, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 18, 2016, in her home. She was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Plainfield, N.J. She was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church and the widow of Mitchell Khoury.

McCURTAIN, Okla. — Thomas Leon Christy, 71, of McCurtain, Okla., died Monday, April 18, 2016, in McCurtain. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, an aircraft mechanic and worked for American Airlines.
