• SoundCloud Removes Martin Garrix’s New Track Before It’s Even Out

While Spotify continues looking into acquiring SoundCloud, the latter business appears to still be struggling with their imperfect service. Once again, an artist has had his own track removed for “copyright infringement” on a track he produced himself, though it isn’t even the first time this has happened.
This time, the wronged victim is Martin Garrix, and the track is his new collaboration with Mesto, “WIEE.”no fucking shit sherlock it’s my own song @So
  • The Chainsmokers Upload Cryptic Countdown Timer, Ends Next Week

At 7am PST/10am EST this coming Wednesday, The Chainsmokers say they will have a major announcement.
A new countdown timer appeared on their website that ends at 7am PST on Wednesday the 19th and it’s anyone’s guess what it could mean. The website tells fans to follow their ‘Nice Hair’ playlist on Spotify to be the first to find out, which could very well mean that it’s music related – perhaps an album? They’ve said in the past that they weren’t re

This weekend, Kygo is playing back to back performances at the 17,500-capacity Hollywood Bowl, coming as his highest achievement since his spot at the Olympics closing ceremony. In a repeat of his 2015 stop at the Greek Theatre with Grammy-winning R&B singer John Legend, the Norwegian DJ even brought out Seal to play out their own rendition of the Marvin Gaye hit classic, “Sexual Healing.”
Using the Bowl’s semicircular stage extension, Seal can be seen treading de

G-Buck & Mia Khalifa Randomly Engage In Some Weird Twitter Beef
G-Buck is one of OWSLA’s most promising rising stars, having tons of his music played out by Jack Ü last year. That being said, even auspicious producers like G-Buck aren’t immune to Twitter beefs, but this is definitely one of the more random ones we’ve seen.
Adult model and porn star Mia Khalfia tweeted out about a player from University Of Mississippi’s football team who seemed to be harassing her on Twitter. When she shared the photo of the exchange, G-Buck respo

“I got an e-mail from management asking if I would consider doing it and I was like heck yeah. I knew I had to do something that was palatable and worked for the crowd and also lend itself to some audience participation. These thoughts all
  • GTA Brings New Sound on the Road with Good Times Ahead Tour

GTA Brings New Sound on the Road with Good Times Ahead Tour
Fresh on the heels of their debut album, GTA brought their Good Times Ahead tour to Los Angeles’ famed Shrine Auditorium this past weekend, and it was a different type of set for the Miami duo. I’ve seen them perform before at 2014’s HARD Day of the Dead, and this set was far more melodic and futuristic. Although they interspersed some of their hits, including their legendary collab with Diplo “Boy, oh Boy,” last weekend at the Shrine was about the Good Times Ahead

WOLFE – Under The Covers (feat. Emma Sameth)
The “new” Trap Nation sub-label Lowly Palace is back with another banger with “Under The Covers” from WOLFE and Emma Sameth. I’ve heard many people speak highly of Emma Sameth in the past, but it’s not until this release that I realize just how strong her voice really is.
The track starts off with a frantic yet irresistible melody line highlighted by Emma’s soothing voice. The production by WOLFE is cool and c

Toronto’s New Rebel Nightclub Looks Absolutely Insane & So Does The Lineup
For the most part, the mega nightclubs of North America are mostly all located in the US, and even then they’re only in a handful of cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City and Miami. However, as EDM continues to expand and clubbing (with purpose) becomes more popular, the clubs in many major metropolitan areas are keeping up.
Case in point, the new Rebel Nightclub in Toronto, Canada which just recently opened with a decor and production that would easily give any Vegas venu
  • Safe in Sound Delivers One of the Best One-Day Festivals of The Year [Event Review]

Safe in Sound Festival has been making its way across the country over the past month or so, stopping off in nearly every major area imaginable. The festival sports a bass-heavy lineup, so expect a night full of headbanging. I was fortunate enough to attend the Boston date of the tour, which featured Boombox Cartel, Terravita, Snails, and Borgore.
The four acts combined into what can only be described as a night full of headliners. Seriously, it didn’t feel like an

Could Spor Have A Remix Of Deadmau5 & Kaskade’s “Beneath With Me”?
This past Wednesday, Feed Me descended on Santa Ana’s Yost Theater for his Family Reunion tour. The show was as heavy as should be expected from Feed Me, but it seems that his alternate project Spor might have made a brief appearance in the setlist.
At one point during the night, Feed Me played a DnB remix of Deadmau5 & Kaskade’s new collaboration with Skylar Grey, “Beneath With Me.” And as you all know, Spor is the original DnB project of the one we now call Fee
