    FOLSOM (CBS13) – The woman suspected of firing shots in her La Riviera Drive apartment on Tuesday was arrested again just a day later.
    According to the Folsom Police Department, officers responded to the Fairfield Inn & Suites along Cavitt Drive Wednesday morning to investigate a disturbance. At the scene, officers found Kathy Miller and her husband had been in an apparent domestic violence incident.

  • Southwest Removes MAX Flights Through October, Further Delays Sacramento To Hawaii Flights

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Southwest Airlines is more making schedule revisions to deal with issues surrounding the Boeing 737 MAX. The airline has now removed its 38 MAX planes from its flight schedule through November 2. It previously removed the fleet from its schedule through October 1.
    The latest schedule revision removes approximately 180 daily flights. Any further delays could impact the holiday flight schedule.

  • Arson Suspect Arrested Near Lincoln After 10 Acre Fire

    LINCOLN (CBS13) – A Sacramento resident was arrested Tuesday evening in relation to a fire in unincorporated Lincoln that grew approximately 10 acres in size.
    A local deputy spotted 27-year-old Gary Ruble walking away from the fire near North Foothills Boulevard and Athens Avenue. Cal Fire arrived on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire.

    MODESTO (CBS13) – A 21-year-old Modesto woman is under arrest and accused of rear-ending a police cruiser and then running away from the crash scene early Thursday morning.

  • Army Veteran From Bay Area Drowns At Lake Tahoe

    RENO, Nev. (AP) – Authorities have identified a 34-year-old San Francisco Bay Area man who drowned at Lake Tahoe as a U.S. Army veteran who worked as a correctional officer for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
    The Douglas County sheriff’s office says bystanders pulled Andreia Jeffrey Arqueza from the water at Zephyr Cove on Tahoe’s southeast shore at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

    FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – Police in Fairfield are asking for help in finding two suspected thieves who nearly ran over an employee on their way out.
    Fairfield police say two men stole an air conditioning unit from the Walmart on North Texas Street on July 2.
    An employee tried to stop the pair, but was knocked down and almost run over.

    STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) — Stanislaus County is helping farmers grow hemp. It’s all part of a new pilot program which officially launches on July 18.

  • Ice Cream Truck Carjacked, Suspect Leads Deputies On Pursuit

    RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — A suspect is in custody after carjacking two vehicles, including an ice cream truck, and leading officials on a short chase in Rancho Cordova Wednesday afternoon.
    The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect, who had a gun, carjacked an ice cream truck around 1:22 p.m. then crashed that vehicle.
