  • Three local groups team up to save kitten in sewer

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Three area groups teamed up to save a kitten that fell into a sewer on Genesee Street Tuesday.
    The SPCA of Erie County worked with the Buffalo Sewer Authority to rescue the tiny kitten. One rescuer even donned a garbage bag to try to save her.

  • DWI arrests decreasing following first month of ridesharing

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fewer people are winding up in handcuffs after a night out drinking as both police and the district attorney are reporting seeing a drop in cases.
    “There aren’t as many DWI arrests and that’s fantastic news,” said Trooper Jim O’Callaghan with the New York State Police.
