    Austin-Travis County EMS says someone noticed a body on the side of road in the 16200 block of Pearce Lane, near Linden Road, at around 2:30 p.m. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office, which has not said if the deaths are suspicious, are investigating.
    Earlier this month, four people were killed in a house on Linden Road, less than a mile away from Tuesday’s incident.

    Austin Water using study to help decide future rates
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Water is conducting a study to help decide the future of water and wastewater rates.
    The utility says the cost of service study includes a review of the methodology used to allocate costs among customer classes (residential, multifamily, commercial and large volume) and to update and improve their methods for determining rates.
    The study will include two separate public involvement committees. The first public involvement committee meeting will be held on Sept.

    MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — The suspect accused of killing five people at a Macy’s department store confessed to police, court documents said, but his motive remained a mystery Monday as a portrait emerged of him as a mentally troubled young man whose parents said they were trying to help him.
