Today, during the Nintendo Direct livestream, Nintendo announced Metroid Ravenous, a new 2D adventure coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 early next year.
The debut trailer introduced a new group of mysterious villains, as well as a look at some of the new locales Samus will be traveling through to hunt then down. We also see hints of a a new mechanic where Samus "feeds" on enemies to gain extra powers, though exactly how Samus is augmented by feeding is still a mystery.
