via vancouversun.comAs I type today the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and through snow, ice, hail, sleet and torrential rain, you are truly on The Vancouver Sun Run’s home stretch.
Woohoo — it’s your final easy peasy, well-earned recovery week with no brisk intervals and volume that I know you can handle. Honestly, you could do that 10K tomorrow. The next 10 days of training are just icing on the cake.
Having visited RunWalk groups around the province, it has been my privilege to ask peo -
Glen Schaefer: Lacing up to train in Nicaragua's soft sand, big heat
via vancouversun.com“It’s tough running on a beach,” James Cassell warned.
James would know. He’s the veteran triathlete who helps coach my Wednesday night Sun Run InTraining clinic — and he runs 10K in well under 40 minutes.
Yours truly had casually mentioned that I was going to be on vacation for two weeks, adding that I planned to keep my training schedule up at the remote Nicaraguan beach village of El Transito, where former work colleague Jenelle Schneider has establishe -
Opinion: Let's have an informed discussion about how we're governed

In 1999, our family foundation completed the non-profit Zajac Norgate House in North Vancouver. It provides r -
Charles Shaver: Medical insurance portability could help Scheer achieve majority
via vancouversun.comCan Andrew Scheer achieve a Conservative majority government in 2019? According to an Angus Reid poll, 40 per cent of Canadians would vote for a Conservative candidate in their riding — a 10-per-cent gap over the Liberals.
He is aware that in order to increase the likelihood of maintaining his lead, he must obtain additional support in Quebec. After all, that was, in 2015, the only province in which the Conservatives made gains — their seat count rose from seven to 12.

Kinder Morgan to halt its spending on Trans Mountain pipeline
via vancouversun.comKinder Morgan announced Sunday they are halting all “non-essential activities and related spending” on the Trans Mountain pipeline project due to B.C. opposition.
The company has said it will take until May 31 to consult with stakeholders to determine whether the project will be permitted to continue construction through B.C. and whether shareholders can be protected.
“As KML has repeatedly stated, we will be judicious in our use of shareholder funds,” said Kinder Morgan -
