Sydney tops the list for air traffic controller sick leave
In data obtained by The Australian under freedom of information laws, Sydney ATCs took an average of 17 days of sick leave in the year ending 30 June, compared to Brisbane at 13.5, Melbourne at 12.8, and Perth at 8.45; across the whole of Airservices, the average was 14.6 days per person. -

Brisbane Airport to open new passport control area
Opening on Friday, the 12-lane passport control point, relocated upstairs to Level 4 of the International Terminal, is now in a “light-filled atrium” alongside the new security screening area, and means check-in, security screening and passport control will all be on one level for the first time.
