There are now patches to apply if you don't have any problems making calls on an AT&T iPhone 18 Pro Max. If you do, you need to get your phone replaced.
iPhone 18 Pro Max
Since launch, iPhone 18 Pro Max models have been dropping off the AT&T network. In some cases, never to return. After an OS update earlier in the week, and a carrier settings update on Friday, the problem may no longer manifest for those who haven't seen it. But, that doesn't help if your iPhone has issues already.

There's a new way to run Android apps on Mac
via appleinsider.com
There's a lot of crap to wade through on the assorted Android app stores, but there are some gems too. The "Mac.apk" project installs Android apps into your Applications folder, like any other Mac app. It's early yet, and the developer says that a lot of stuff doesn't work properly, particularly games with anti-cheat. My quick trial with the software has been pretty smooth, though. We'll be keeping an eye on this one.https://github.com/kksimp/Mac.apk-Releases

Updates to Full Disk Access in macOS
We give developers powerful APIs to build incredible capabilities into their apps for Apple products, backed by a set of controls designed to protect users’ private data. Full Disk Access largely sidesteps these controls in order to allow backup apps to function properly on the Mac. Some developers are using Full Disk Access in ways that could put users at risk, exposing everything on their systems—including files, mail, messages, and even browsing history—without users’ -
