  A B.C. man who committed a series of violent and degrading acts against his partner has had a conditional discharge upheld after an appeal by the Crown.
  Joshua Bailey Delgren pleaded guilty in provincial court to one count of assault in relation to events that occurred over a four-day period, from June 1 to 4, 2017.

  A new study says B.C. government policies are allowing landlords to evict drug users in Vancouver’s rooming houses and there’s little or no recourse for tenants to defend themselves against a practice that is often illegal and creates a risk of overdose.

  Surrey RCMP say the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 32nd Avenue Diversion under the Highway 99 overpass.   The Queen of Surrey is out of commission this morning after the B.C. Ferries vessel collided with a dock at the Langdale terminal.
  B.C. Ferries says the accident happened at 8:10 a.m. as the ferry, which connects Horseshoe Bay with the Sunshine Coast, was making its turn towards its berth.

  The Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public help in finding a “significant piece of First Nations art” stolen from the city last week.
  The Coast Salish piece, known as Spindle Whorl, had been a downtown fixture in the Vancouver Island city since 2013.
