Coquitlam man gets 10 years for violent New West home invasion
via vancouversun.comA Coquitlam man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for offences related to a violent New Westminster home invasion in 2016.
The B.C. Supreme Court sentenced Stephen Smith, 23, on Friday for breaking and entering, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, attempted fraud, possession of property obtained by crime and robbery.
Another 25-year-old Coquitlam man, Victor James, has also been convicted of the same crimes except attempted fraud. He will be sentenced at a later date, -

Man charged after four Merritt churches hit by arson

Kamloops RCMP Const. Tracy Dunsmore says the 37-year-old man was arrested on Thursday.

The CFIA says in a statement Thursday that the company, Delta Pacific Seafoods, is recalling the 150-milligram packages, which were distributed in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
