  Surrey RCMP have added extra patrols in and around Surrey schools after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted by a stranger on Wednesday in the city’s Tynehead area.
  The girl told police she walking home from school in the 9300 block of 157 Street around 4:15 p.m when she was followed and grabbed from behind by an unknown man.
  Police say the girl escaped the man’s grasp by kicking and striking him. She then ran home while calling her parents on the way to tell them what happened

  Most Canadians are in favour of prohibiting residents from smoking in apartment buildings and condominiums, a new Research Co. poll has found.
