  Prince George RCMP is treating the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch outside the city Saturday as a homicide.
  Mounties were called to West Lake Estates Road, just south of Prince George, at 1:30 p.m. after the body of a 40-year-old Prince George man was discovered in a ditch. Investigators are treating the death as a homicide and the RCMP’s North District Major Crime Unit has taken over the case.

  The insured cost of damage from the windstorm that raged through southern B.C. in December is over $37 million, and the Insurance Bureau of Canada says that pushed the price of extreme weather in the country last year to $1.9 billion.
  The storm knocked down large trees and power poles, leaving over 750,000 customers without electricity, some of them through Christmas.

  A technical problem on SkyTrain Wednesday morning has been resolved, but TransLink says there may still be some delays on the Expo Line.

  Two children and a man were taken to hospital late Tuesday night after a carbon monoxide leak in a Vancouver house.
  Crews were called out to a house in the 6200-block of Tyne Street near 47th Avenue for a medical distress call, according to Vancouver Fire and Rescue on-duty assistant chief Dan Stroup.

  Devil’s Army president Richard “Ricky” Alexander has been released on $600,000 bail after being charged last year with first-degree murder.

  The potential loss of a historic Chilliwack house that used to be owned by one of the city’s earliest pioneers has heritage advocates calling on the city to act to help preserve its character homes.
  The 2,000-square-foot house on a nearly half-acre plot of land at 45632 Wellington Ave., known as the Kipp Retirement House, is being replaced by a proposed multi-family development.
