Street parking-meter rates will go up by 25 cents an hour in all boroughs on April 1, 2019, to account for inflation, the city of Montreal announced Friday.

Montreal police turn to public to find burglar and $200,000 in loot
Montreal police have turned to the public in an effort to track down a suspect believed to made off with about $200,000 of property from a condo in St-Laurent last September.
The theft took place at the Thimens Blvd. condo on Sept. 6, sometime between 2 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.
Items reported missing include: a Patek Philippe 5059R-001 watch valued at $90,000, a diamond worth $80,000 as well as a collection of coins that brings the total value of the haul to about $200,000.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Bleury St. near Viger St. Police say the taxi was travelling south on Bleury St. when it struck the pedestrian and then left the scene.
