Extreme weather conditions have made wildfire containment efforts significantly more challenging, said BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
Winds with gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour led to aggressive fire behaviour in the Okanagan, adding stress to new and existing wildfires.
Across the province, more than 2,200 lightning strikes led to 22 suspected lightning-caused fires.12 of those have been classified as out, under control or being held. 10 remain out-of-control.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like we expect
via abbynews.com
Anxiety doesn’t always look the way we expect. Many dogs that appear overly excited, distracted, or “too busy” on walks may really be showing signs of stress. One of the most common signs of anxiety on a walk is constant scanning of the environment. Instead of being relaxed with a loose leash, these dogs are continually looking around, responding to every movement or sound. Their attention seems to be everywhere at once, making it difficult for them to relax or respond to cues. -
