  TRAIL — Thousands of insurance claims have been made after two acid spills along a southeastern B.C. highway earlier this year that damaged vehicles.
  Insurance Corp. of B.C. spokeswoman Lindsay Wilkins said vehicle claims related to the April 10 and May 23 spills of sulphuric acid in Trail have topped 3,000.

  Health officials say passengers travelling on the 7 p.m. B.C. Ferries sailing to Mayne Island from Tsawwassen last Friday may have been exposed to measles.
  Health authorities are also warning that the traveller who had the contagious disease is believed to have visited the Saturna Lighthouse Pub on Saturna Island on Monday, between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
