Mexico’s left-wing opposition party Morena has offered the name of Vancouver-exiled labour leader Napoleon Gomez Urrutia among its senate nominees, according to El Universal.
A win could pave the way for a return to Mexico after more than a decade in Canada.

Abbotsford homicide victim's family makes plea to find killer
via vancouversun.comThe Abbotsford family of 23-year-old homicide victim Satkar Singh Sidhu is pleading for help to find his killer.
A year ago, on Feb. 20, 2017, Sidhu was shot and killed in the 30500-block of Steelhead Court in Abbotsford. Emergency crews responded, but were unable to revive him and he died from his injuries.

Two injured in early Tuesday morning stabbing in Vancouver
