Opinion: Now, more than ever, CRTC has a key role to play
Never over the last 50 years have the decisions of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission been as hotly contested. Over the last two months, no fewer than five appeals to federal cabinet have been launched, requesting the cancellation of decisions made by the outgoing chair of the commission, Jean-Pierre Blais. There is no precedent for such an avalanche of cabinet appeals and such a degree of general exasperation.

Celine Cooper: What would you put in a Montreal time capsule?
A construction crew unearthed what appeared to be a Second World War-era bombshell in New York City’s Flatiron District last week.
No need to worry, though — a bomb squad was called to the scene and quickly ruled out any security threats. Turns out the would-be explosive was a 1980s time capsule assembled by partygoers at Danceteria, a legendary club in mid-town Manhattan.Time-stamped in a pre 9/11 N.Y.C. era of youth, glitter and excess, the capsule had been assembl -

Fitness: What it takes to tackle the Tour de France
Three thousand, five hundred and forty kilometres over 21 days, through four countries, 635 cities and over five mountains with a punishing finish that demands riders complete 222.5 km on Day 19, is park of what makes the Tour de France such a beast of a race.

Before and after: From dated bungalow to dream 'condalow'
When Fany and Mitchell Ettinger’s children left the family home in St-Laurent, the couple faced a decision many baby boomers struggle with: stay in a home that suddenly has too many bedrooms, or move.
