  It was a nice sunny afternoon for some family fishing on Friday at the mouth of Gray’s Creek leading into the St. Lawrence River.For 25 years now, the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) has been hosting its annual Family Fishing Afternoon event during Ontario’s licence-free fishing week. • Cornwall council briefs: Potential crosswalk near Riverdale Terrace

  Cornwall council has been down this road before, so to speak.Last week, council unanimously agreed to refer a petition requesting a crosswalk be installed near Riverdale Terrace to the city’s road safety master plan study.   A 54-year-old man from Cornwall is facing four charges after police responded to a disturbance call in the area of Brookdale Avenue on Thursday.Police alleged the man threatened an individual while in possession of an edged weapon.The man was charged with assault with a weapon; uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and, breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace.He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing in Cornwall c
