The Sainte-Marie, Que., native beat out Austria’s Jacob Dusek (56.04) at the line by 0.06 seconds to claim victory at the Mont-Sainte-Anne ski resort in Beaupré, Que.
Spain’s Lucas Eguibar (56.56) grabbed bronze.
It was the third career World Cup victory for the 21-year-old Grondin, and eighth total medal on the World Cup stage.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Saturday he has been released from the rehabilitation facility where he had physical therapy for a concussion caused by a fall earlier this month.

Texas police: Migrants found ‘suffocating’ in train; 2 dead
UVALDE, Texas (AP) — Two migrants were found dead and at least 10 were hospitalized Friday after police in South Texas received a call that they were “suffocating” in a freight train traveling near the U.S.-Mexico border.
