PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) — Adam Schenk looked as though he and everyone else would get passed by Jordan Spieth on Saturday at the Valspar Championship. When a wild and windy round finished, Schenk was still the player everyone was chasing.
Schenk hit his approach to the 18th hole to 5 feet and made the birdie putt for a 1-under 70, giving him a one-shot lead over Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood as he goes after his first victory on the PGA Tour.

OTTAWA — Google said it will volunteer some of its top executives to testify at a parliamentary committee that is studying the actions of the Silicon Valley giant after it ran a five-week test that blocked news links to some of its Canadian users.
The test was meant to assess the effects of a potential response to Bill C-18, the Liberal government’s Online News Act.

YELLOWKNIFE — Unionized workers with the City of Yellowknife have ratified a new collective agreement after a labour dispute that began in early February that included a strike and a lockout.

B.C. school support staff for K-12 ratify new three-year contracts
VICTORIA — More than 40,000 school support staff in British Columbia have ratified new contracts.
Employees including education assistants, Indigenous support workers and custodians working in kindergarten to Grade 12 are now covered by 69 local agreements.
The Ministry of Finance says the deals stretch over three years, from July 1, 2022, until June 30, 2025.
