  A man faces several charges after a woman was assaulted, Chatham-Kent police say.A woman, who had been punched, choked and threatened with a hammer, reported the assault a day later, on Thursday at 1 p.m., at police headquarters.A 42-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, police said.He was transported to police headquarters and held for bail, police said.   The hot, sticky July temperatures have arrived in Chatham-Kent and there is no sign of the temperatures cooling off anytime soon.
