• Arrest made after stabbing near Nanaimo overdose prevention site

  Nanaimo RCMP arrested a man in connection to a stabbing near an overdose prevention site in downtown Nanaimo Friday afternoon.
  B.C. Ambulance Service, Nanaimo Fire Rescue and Nanaimo RCMP were called to the 200 block of Albert Street just before 12:30 p.m.
  Reserve Const. Gary O’Brien, media liaison with the RCMP, said the victim of the stabbing suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital as a result of the incident.
