  An earthquake rumbled the Kootenays early Thursday morning, Sept. 17.
  Earthquakes Canada reported the 3.7 magnitude quake struck about 5:30 am PT on the east shore of Kootenay Lake near Grey Creek (at 49.64°N, 116.78°W), at a depth of about four kilometres.
  People reported feeling the earthquake in Nelson all over the Kootenays, as far away as Cranbrook and Trail.No damage or injuries were reported.

• Injured cat back with family following Summerland wildfire

  A black cat, found alone and injured during the Bald Range wildfire, has been treated and is now reunited with his family.
