• Series: Artturi Lehkonen scored in the first four games

The Western Conference playoffs are very tight this year.
All four series in this conference were 2-1 in favor of one team, prior to Sunday’s games.
This afternoon, we were treated to Game 4 between the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets.
The Avalanche led the series 2-1 going into the match-up, and Jared Bednar’s team had one mission in mind: to push the Winnipeg Jets to the brink.
Colorado’s Artturi Lehkonen, formerly of the Montreal Canadiens, is very useful in this s
  • “Oliver Kapanen’s coach was irresponsible” – Mathias Brunet

With the World Hockey Championships, we have the chance to see many European players who we don’t really see in action.
It’s pretty hard to form an opinion about a young prospect who performs well in Europe, because highlights and statistics don’t tell the whole story.
Oliver Kapanen is a second-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, 64th overall in 2021, and he’s playing very well in the World Championship.
In fact, Kapanen is the tournament’s top scorer, with five
  • Assistance program: Valeri Nichushkin suspended for at least six months

    Big news in the NHL.
We’ve just learned that Valeri Nichushkin has once again been placed on the assistance program. This time, he’s been placed in what’s known as Stage 3 of the program, which has the effect of suspending him (without pay) for six months.
If he wants to come back, he’ll have to apply and be approved.
NHL & NHLPA announced Colorado’s Valeri Nichushkin is now in Stage 3 of the Player Assistance Program.
As a result, Nichushkin will be suspended
  • Juraj Slafkovsky can tease Cole Caufield at any time

Hockey team chemistry is the key to success.
Well, it’s not the only way to win, but it’s very important.
Having a team that wants and likes to play together creates miracles.
As for the Montreal Canadiens, the chemistry is there.
It’s nothing new; we regularly see Tricolore players laughing and teasing each other.
Youngsters Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky are often at the heart of it all, and that’s likely to continue for a long time to come.
    Today, Slafkovsky and S

  • Mavrik Bourque and Zachary L’Heureux lead AHL in playoff points

Mavrik Bourque continues to dominate the AHL.
The Stars’ first-round pick in 2020 (30th overall) is coming off a 77-point season in 71 AHL games…
And at the time of writing, he’s firmly ensconced atop the AHL’s top playoff scorers.
That’s special, but it’s even more so when you look at the chart of the most productive players in the playoffs so far.
I say that, because Zachary L’Heureux is tied for 2nd with nine points in just five games :AHL playoff p

Slap in McDavid’s face: Carson Soucy suspended for one game
Last night, at the end of the Oilers vs Canucks game, things got a little choppy.
Quite a bit, in fact. The most memorable moment was Carson Soucy’s stick to Connor McDavid’s face.
The Canucks defenseman took advantage of a scrum behind the net to deliver a violent cross-check to the Oilers captain’s face.
    The result?
Soucy has been suspended for one game by the NationalHockey League… And the whole thing is generating a lot of chatter on various social platforms.

  • Sacrificing Joshua Roy to move up a rank: Georges Laraque is ready to do it

The Habs may not have won the lottery last week, but there’s one thing for sure in all of this anyway.
Kent Hughes and his assistants – in 5th place – will have the opportunity to get their hands on an excellent hockey player.
And right now, the organization is expected to select a forward with their pick.
Three names in particular stand out when it comes to the Habs’ desires.

  • Martin St-Louis had to learn to be more serene with the media

Before he arrived in Montreal as head coach of the Canadiens, we didn’t know much about Martin St-Louis.
Sure, we knew he’d had a successful NHL career…
But we didn’t necessarily know the man behind the hockey player.
Now we’ve got to know him, and I think you’ll agree that he’s a passionate guy, but also a relatively calm coach.
We agree that there have already been a few moments when we’ve seen him frustrated for reason X, but hey. That’s
  • The Canadian must be delighted to see Anton Silayev increasingly sought after

As you know, the Habs want to draft a quality forward this June. And to give themselves the best possible chance of achieving this, the club will have to hope that some defensemen emerge in the top-4.
After Macklin Celebrini to San Jose (the only certainty), it’s not clear what the Blackhawks will do. Ivan Demidov and Artyom Levshunov are two names that are often mentioned…
But it seems that giant defenseman Anton Silayev is attracting more and more attention, as reported by Mathia
  • Here’s what a fifth choice in total might look like

If nothing changes, the Canadiens will draft fifth overall.
From what we understand, the Habs’ wish would be for Ivan Demidov or Cayden Lindstrom to be available at No. 5, just to keep Habs management happy.
But in reality, the club would be confident of being able to get their hands on a forward by drafting so high, and considering that the next crop will be a draft of defensemen.
But if we look historically, what could be the result?
The HabsOnReddit Twitter account has posted a chart o
  • Stuart Skinner gets eaten by #3 Canucks goalie

All season long, we’ve been told that the Oilers’ problems were in front of the net.
Jake Allen’s name was often bandied about, and in the end, the club never got their hands on the former Habs or another netminder to help them in the playoffs.
And to everyone’s surprise, the Edmonton Oilers’ goaltender is sinking the club. How could the Oilers’ top brass have foreseen such an outcome?
Yesterday, in the playoffs, that’s what got my attention.

The Canadian met Maxim Tsyplakov (31 goals this season in the KHL), according to Elliotte Friedman
    Do you know Maxim Tsyplakov?
We’re talking about a player who’s been playing in the KHL since 2017 and is capable of threading the needle. This season in Moscow, Tsyplakov scored no less than 31 goals in 65 games.
He’s been followed for a while now, and the Maple Leafs’ name comes up a lot in the case of a free agent who’s about to make the jump to the NHL. In fact, when you look at the file, Toronto is the name that comes up most often.

  • Simon Nemec not impressed by NHL crowds

It’s well known throughout the National Hockey League, but Montreal Canadiens fans are the most intense.
And it’s not just for hockey, but Montreal crowds in general are very frenetic.
In short, the vast majority of players who have played at the Bell Centre have always enjoyed their time in Montreal.
Of course, there are pluses and minuses to everything, and we know that some players, those who don’t handle pressure as well, find it hard to cope with the intensity.

  • Alex Kovalev had a “Super Nintendo” addiction

Alex Kovalev has always been a crowd favorite with Montreal Canadiens fans.
After all, he was the last Habs player to produce more than one point per game in a single season.
His electrifying style of play thrilled crowds, even at the end of his career.
He was so good with his hands that he was nicknamed “The Artist”.
But he wasn’t just good with a hockey stick and his hands.
Don’t get the wrong idea, he “simply” had an addiction to video games, more specific

Over the past year, Arber Xhekaj has found himself – in spite of himself – in a number of trade rumors.

But the Habs’ GM never wanted to trade him.
Just because we don’t hear these rumours anymore doesn’t mean that interest in Xhekaj has waned across the league.
