Woman shot in Chilliwack has died, prompting homicide investigation: RCMP
via theprovince.comA woman shot in Chilliwack on Tuesday has died and the case has been handed over to homicide detectives, say Mounties.
Police were called to a report of a shooting in the 9400-block Victor Street in Chilliwack at about 1 p.m. Tuesday. A woman in her 40s was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Chilliwack RCMP said she died of her injuries Friday, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.

Evacuation order issued after fires at Maple Ridge homeless camp

The city said the order was issued for the campsite dubbed Anita’s Place by the provincial fire commissioner after an application by Maple Ridge Fire Chief Howard Exner.
