J.J. Adams: Curtains fall on the Manny Show, but Lions have another ‘show’ coming
via theprovince.comWhen Manny Arceneaux pulled up stakes and left town Friday to join the Saskatchewan Roughriders, he left behind a huge hole — both as a selfless, hard-working leader in the B.C. Lions’ locker-room and nine years of outreach work that made him pillar of the community.
But few remember that, in the beginning, The Manny Show was all about its singular star — every Manny for himself, so to speak — before the gregarious wide receiver matured as a person and a player.

Patrick Johnston: Family day serves as reminder of childhood Canucks fandom for Stecher
via theprovince.comDoug Low was just being a hockey dad.
The boys loved the game. Their group was a special one, a rare combination of talent and good spirits.
That he was able to get Canucks tickets through work from time to time was just a bonus. And because he often scored four tickets instead of two meant his son could invite a couple of buddies, too.
And so, one night in 2006, Doug Low carted 12-year-old son Brayden and his two friends, Brayden Arcand and Troy Stecher, to a Canucks game.

Makeover: A new look after a holiday in the sun
via vancouversun.comJanine Hewitt is a busy wife and mom of two kids. The 42-year-old recently returned from family vacation in the sun and her hair was feeling faded, dry and shapeless.
Janine has thick and naturally wavy hair. Her colour was looking golden and faded from the sun.
