Pedestrian dies in early-morning Surrey collision
via theprovince.comA woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in Surrey early Friday morning.
Surrey Mounties say they were called out for a crash involving a pedestrian shortly after 7 a.m. in the 6800-block of King George Boulevard.
The woman was transported to hospital where she died from her injuries.
RCMP say the male driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.

Cows killed in one of two early morning blazes in Pitt Meadows
via vancouversun.comPITT MEADOWS — Separate overnight fires have killed an unknown number of cows and destroyed a large industrial building in Pitt Meadows.
Pitt Meadows assistant fire chief Brad Perrie says the first call about a barn fire came in at midnight and crews arrived to find one building fully involved, with flames spreading to a second.
