  The number of homicides was up 25 per cent in Surrey last year, but overall crime dipped, according to a Surrey RCMP report.
  Mounties said there were 15 homicides in 2018, up from 12 the year before.
  Overall crime decreased though by four per cent, according to the report. The report notes the city experienced 38 shots fired files, down 36 per cent from 2017 and 57 per cent from 2015.
