  CALGARY — Police in Calgary are asking for help to locate a Lower Mainland woman facing Canada-wide warrants on 115 charges.
  The police service says Laetitia Angelique Acera, 25, is wanted on charges in Calgary going back to last September. The charges include multiple counts of assault with a weapon, break-and-enter, fraud under $5,000, motor-vehicle theft and theft of mail.
  Acera is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-10, with an average build, brown, or bleach-blond, hair and blue eyes.

  KAMLOOPS — Two people needed to be rescued from the upper floor of an apartment building here as flames raced through one room of the converted hotel.

  Just after 8 p.m. on Jan. 1, police were called to an apartment on Powell Street near Gore Street in the Downtown Eastside. A man was found inside his home in “obvious medical distress.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
