• Squamish Nation referendum may lead to electoral process changes

  While B.C. voters were being asked to say yes or no in a referendum on proportional representation, members of the Squamish Nation were wrapping up an electoral referendum of their own.
  The 3,000 eligible voters of the Squamish Nation were asked five questions on the ballot in the first attempt to revise election rules since 1981, including if candidates should be screened for criminal behaviour or any “conduct unbecoming a Squamish elected official.”

  The Caps will send a natural third round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft to Orlando City SC in return for Giro, who was acquired by the Lions in January 2017. Over two seasons in Orlando, the Brazilian made 16 appearances, totalling 854 minutes.
