Best time to go to Florida? Just before (or just after) Hurricane Season
via vancouversun.comFlorida is ground zero for hurricanes. The state even has a name, Hurricane Season, for the months between May and October when the storms most often hit.
But the weeks before Hurricane Season begins and after it ends are prized by visitors who know that spring and fall are the best times to visit. The weather is at its best, the beaches are deserted and hotel rates dip to their lowest of the year.
My wife and I, seeking some quality beach time in early November, headed for Boca Grande on Gaspar -

What kind of Black Friday shopper are you?
via theprovince.comQ: I’m annoyed with myself for agreeing to go Black Friday shopping in the States. My friend texted me the other day, and we have gone before, but I always overspend when I shop with her. While we do try to keep each other in line, both our credit cards take a severe hit whenever we shop anywhere together. But this year my husband and I have made a pact to keep a lid on our spending this holiday season. I love heading out for the day with a friend, so do you have any tips to help me stick -
