  Three young men who police allege are linked to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict have been arrested and charged.
  Surrey RCMP said its investigation started last week after the agency’s gang enforcement team got a report related to threats and possession of a firearm.
  “Investigators believe the alleged threats were related to the ongoing drug trade and gang conflict amongst parties known to one another,” Cpl. Elenore Sturko said in a news release Tuesday.

  The Surrey RCMP seized two vehicles and a large quantity of drugs when they busted an alleged dial-a-dope operation on Nov. 1.
  The RCMP detachment’s drug unit and Surrey’s gang enforcement team (SGET) combined efforts to arrest two suspected drug traffickers associated with dial-a-dope operations in Surrey.

  Westbound lanes on a section of Highway 1 in Surrey were closed to traffic Tuesday morning following a fatal accident involving a dump truck.
  Surrey RCMP say the accident happened around 3 a.m. A commercial vehicle struck a median and caught on fire on Highway 1 west of the 176th Street exit.
  Police said traffic in the area would be affected for an undetermined time as officers continued their investigation.
