Wine Guy: A good Syrah really sings
via theprovince.comSyrah and I go through phases. Indeed, it’s fair to say that we have an on-again, off-again relationship. I mean, it was bold Syrah — well actually, they were mostly labelled Shiraz (which is the same grape) — that largely got me jazzed about wine way back in the beginning, thanks to bottles that offered larger than life aromas and flavours that bedazzled the palate.

via theprovince.comWhile opinions for and against a proportional voting system abound, we’re missing the real problem, which is low voter turnout.
If the vast majority of voters were casting their ballots, then I think we’d be satisfied that democracy was working. But if we simply change over to another system where less than 60 per cent of eligible voters determine who governs us, then I suggest that system, too, will be flawed.
To increase voter turnout the government should give -
