A Vancouver Island ski resort has announced plans to proceed with a $3.5-million zipline attraction that will span 2.3 kilometres.
Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, near Courtenay, says the ZipTour will be a multi-stage course where guests can explore the resort’s terrain via four zipline segments that include short scenic walks in between each. It will feature a 415-metre vertical descent.

via vancouversun.comEnbridge Inc. says it has begun construction of a temporary access road to the site of a natural gas pipeline explosion near Prince George.
In a news release issued Sunday the company says construction will take a few days.
An explosion Tuesday knocked out a 91-centimetre line and another pipeline is supplying natural gas on a reduced basis.
Enbridge says it has completed soil sampling and preliminary field observations in the area of the blast and found no traces of hydrocarbons in the soil.
