KAMLOOPS — A middle-aged Kamloops man who had sex with a 14-year-old boy he met on a hookup app has been ordered to spend a year in prison.
Gardian Angel was handcuffed and taken into custody after his sentencing hearing at the Kamloops Law Courts on Wednesday. He had been free on bail following his arrest in 2016.

Kennedy Stewart in lead for Vancouver mayor: poll

One man injured in suspicious car fire in Pitt Meadows: report
via vancouversun.comPolice in Pitt Meadows are investigating a suspicious car fire late Tuesday night, in which one man was sent to hospital with minor burns, according to a report.
Pitt Meadows RCMP were called out at around 9 p.m. to the 2100-block of 191B Street, after an SUV burst into flames when the man opened the door, according to Global News.
The report says the man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and that police consider the fire suspicious.
