A woman was found dead along the Coquihalla Highway Sunday.
Merritt RCMP attended a motor vehicle collision near Mine Creek Road and Highway 5 about 20 minutes south of Merritt.
The collision caused the highway to be closed to northbound traffic for a period of time.
During that time, a motorist got out of his vehicle to stretch his legs when he discovered a dead woman on the side of the road, said Sgt. Lorne Wood.

Instead of donation bins, here's where you can drop off clothing in Vancouver
via vancouversun.comOn Monday, a woman died after she became trapped inside a clothing donation bin at a Vancouver community centre.
It’s not the first death related to standalone donation bins. The structures are designed to keep clothing in which means it’s difficult to get in or out if a person becomes trapped. The bins are also a magnet for dumping when they become full, an annoyance for residents living nearby.
