Debate over appropriateness of cannabis down on farm
via vancouversun.comCannabis is likely to be a cash cow for companies angling to get in on the business and it’s looking more likely that it will also be a full-on, agricultural-crop opportunity for farmers once recreational weed is legalized in October.
Existing licensed cannabis growers have already bought into large greenhouse operations to ramp-up production, but federal regulations approved with the Cannabis Act that allow for outdoor cultivation opens new potential opportunities for farmers.

Police concerned about rise of Hells Angels puppet clubs

via vancouversun.comNobody likes to waste time, no one wants to waste away, but when it comes to food we waste $31-billion worth of the stuff each year, according to Statistics Canada.
Or, to put it another way as StatsCan does, about 30 per cent of the food we produce winds up in the dump and most of it is edible. This isn’t just a shame in the sense that one in eight Canadian homes are considered food-insecure; it’s a drag on the economy and a contributor to greenhouse gases.

But, I must ask, why didn’t ICBC release information on how many new cars entered the roads in the same period and how much additional revenue they collected due to the increase in vehicles on the road?
