Bob Ransford: Current voting system isn’t fair, rewards insiders
via theprovince.comOur first-past-the-post voting system isn’t fair. It doesn’t work to support democracy.
It works for political insiders. Those insiders know how to use the system to get elected without having support from the majority of voters.
The voting system is the hardware of our representative democracy. It is supposed to elect people to government to make decisions that represent the views of not just the people who elected them, but everyone in society.

Ben Kuzma: Autistic brother inspires Canucks’ prospect Jack Rathbone
via theprovince.comHome is where the heart and hockey was for Jack Rathbone last season.
The Vancouver Canucks’ prospect defenceman purposely chose to remain at Dexter Academy in Brookline, Mass. for another season. It allowed the fourth-round pick in the 2017 NHL draft to stay close to his autistic and inspirational nine-year-old brother Teddy.

Part of that is taking the next big development step from prep school in Brookline, Mass. to a major -

Susan Martinuk: Health Canada attacks wrong party — medical community — in opioids fight
