Bear sighting closes Belcarra beach
via vancouversun.comOfficials have closed White Pine Beach in Belcarra after a bear was spotted in the area.
The beach is part of Belcarra Regional Park, which is managed by Metro Vancouver.
Don Bradley, spokesman for Metro Vancouver, said the beach was closed Saturday afternoon. Despite the efforts of Metro Vancouver staff to scare it, the bear returned to the beach several times.
