  VANCOUVER — A study published in a scientific journal says microplastics from Metro Vancouver’s laundered clothes are ending up in water treatment plants and filtering into the ocean.

  An early morning fire destroyed a popular Mexican restaurant in Vancouver on Thursday.
  Vancouver Fire and Rescue got the call around 5 a.m. and flames were “through the roof” of the building that housed the Topanga Café on West 4th Avenue by the time the first firefighters arrived, said Assistant Chief Dan Stroup.
