Around 12:43 p.m., Abbotsford emergency services were called to the intersection of Simon Avenue and Gladwin Road for the report of a pedestrian struck by a trailer.
First responders found an elderly man who had fallen from the back of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck and was hit by the trailer being towed. The truck and trailer had been a part of the Canada Day parade procession earlier in the morning.

Vancouver records 10th homicide of the year after stabbing victim dies
via theprovince.comA stabbing victim has died a week after the attack sent him to hospital with critical injuries.
Vancouver police said the attack took place around 11 a.m. on June 23 in the Downtown Eastside.
During the altercation, which took place in the south lane of West Hastings near Abbott street, a 26-year-old Surrey man was injured critically and rushed to hospital with a stab wound. He has since died from his injuries.
