Twenty-two-year-old Alison Legge has lived in chronic pain with juvenile arthritis since she was three.
She’s had three operations on her jaw and because of heavy medication has felt at times like she was sleeping, more than living.
The young North Vancouver woman never thought it was possible to run in a race because of the agony the impact on the pavement caused her joints and jaw.
But on Sunday, she’ll lead a team of more than 150 kids, teens and friends in the Scotiabank Van

Three people killed in two-vehicle collision near Cache Creek
via theprovince.comThree people are dead after a two-vehicle collision, one of them a semi-trailer, near Cache Creek on Thursday.
The accident happened at 11:05 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 99.
RCMP say the semi-trailer was travelling south on Highway 97 when it collided with a northbound car that was attempting a left turn onto Highway 99.
All three occupants of the car were killed.

The VSO and the Vancouver park board will host the open-air concert July 14 starting at 7:15 p.m.
The park board says the concert will be a family event and will be alcohol and smoke-free.
There will be a pre-concert program performed by students from the VSO School of Music at 7:15 p.m., and a sunset concert performed by the VSO from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Search underway at Alice Lake for missing Delta man

Squamish RCMP received a call at around 8:15 p.m. from someone at Alice Lake, who heard people screaming about a man in the water.

Vancouver police arrest Surrey man for 2017 Commercial Drive murder
