  The B.C. coroner says there were 161 suspected illicit drug overdose deaths in the province in March, the second-highest monthly total.
  That’s a 24 per cent increase over the March 2017 total of 130 deaths, and a 58 per cent increase over last month’s suspected total of 102.
  The coroner said Thursday that the March number almost equals the 162 illicit drug overdose deaths in December 2016.
