Surrey police investigating after car occupant refused to say what was inside suspicious package

Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Surrey RCMP found an unknown package inside a car on King George Boulevard near 102nd Avenue. An occupant inside the vehicle would not tell police what was inside the vehicle, and the area was cordoned off for safety.
The RCMP’s explosives disposal team was called in to examine the package and destroy it as a precaution.
