B.C. Minister Lisa Beare expected to recover following heart surgery

B.C. norovirus outbreak linked to raw oysters

Approximately 40 cases of acute gastrointestinal illness have been reported to public health authorities since March 18. The BCCDC says all of the ill people reported consuming raw B.C. oysters.
The agency says laboratory testing confirmed the presence of norovirus in some of the cases and it is suspected in the others.
